Hi John –
We’re sorry you’ve had a bad experience recently. Calyx has always had a restart fee once an account has lapsed for a certain period of time. Early 2011 Calyx switched to a monthly recurring charge model so accounts never “expire” moving forward. In the event the monthly charge doesn’t go through for some reason, the MyCalyx system automatically generates a notice warning of suspension if payment isn’t received within a stated number of days with numbers to call for help. If an account isn’t yet on the monthly recurring system, those accounts receive phone call reminders from our sales staff prior to the expiration date. I think the renewal policy that calyx is doing without sending out proper notice via a invocie or pdf or reasonable email is bad for business. Please speak to Doug and let him know how bad this makes the company loook. I have been a calyx cuwtoemr since the begining of the product and am a small broker. The $300 reactivation fee is out of control. I didn’t even know when the account was going to deactivate. No invocie or pdf was sent.
