We released version 8.1 this morning! It’s available to MyCalyx admins to download.
With 8.1, we have revamped a lot of the calculations that make your loan processes efficient and compliant. We made quite a few updates to the software to help you close more loans faster. You can learn details about Point and PointCentral 8.1 here.
If you have mobile apps, you will find that when we release Point Mobile 2.0 next month, you’ll be able to pull credit from your phone. Point 8.1 makes that possible.**

You may have heard the buzz about the impending launch of Path™, but did you know that we’re releasing the latest version of your favorites, Point® and PointCentral®, in just a few days?
That’s right! 8.1 will be available for download via MyCalyx.com on Tuesday, April 30th.
This release contains the calculation and screen updates that you’ve been waiting for. You’ll see improved fields and calculations in the Fees Worksheet, TIL, and the USDA screen. There are quite a few more changes included that you will appreciate, but the icing on the cake is that 8.1 accommodates credit requests initiated from Point Mobile 2.0.
Point Mobile 2.0 is scheduled for release in just a few weeks and with it, you’ll not only be able to enter initial borrower information via your Smartphone, you’ll also be able to run credit. 8.1 is the release that makes it all possible.

We’ve also made it easier for you to submit your loans to Freddie Mac and added a new company to the Fannie Mae interface.

The Fees Worksheet block 2 has been updated with editable percentage or dollar amount fields and locked calculation fields that accurately reflect amount changes to the credit fields
Several HUD forms have been updated with mandatory changes
The Anti-Steering Disclosure has been updated to match the Good Faith Estimate
The CLTV has been updated to properly reflect when a second mortgage amount is added

Calyx Mobile is almost here! In just a couple of weeks, you’ll be among the first to have functional mobile apps for your Point software! All you need is an iPhone or an Android smartphone!
You’ll be able to start initial applications, check status of individual loans, or even view your entire pipeline—all from your smartphone. It’s secure and no data is stored on the phone so you don’t have to worry too much if you drop your phone into the lake while you’re fishing!
We’re excited about it and we’re pretty sure you are too. But it made me think about just how much I use my phone every day. I’m sure I only use a fraction of the functionality I have available on my phone but it’s still more than just a phone.
